Lâm Đồng (Da Lat) Coffee
Lâm Đồng province, rising to the resort city of Da Lat, holds Vietnam's best Arabica terroir: the Cau Dat and Xuan Truong slopes at 1,400–1,600 m, where French planters established Arabica and tea a century ago. Cool mist-belt climate lets quality-focused farms produce cups no other Vietnamese zone can match.
Catimor dominates for rust resistance, with heritage Typica and Bourbon plots surviving around Cau Dat. A specialty scene of washing stations and estate brands has grown quickly, supplying Vietnam's own booming café culture as much as export.

Lâm Đồng (Da Lat) — frequently asked questions
Does Vietnam really grow Arabica?
About 5% of its production — and Lâm Đồng is its heartland. High-altitude lots from Cau Dat achieve genuine specialty quality, mostly consumed by Vietnam's domestic specialty boom.
What altitude is Da Lat coffee grown at?
The prime zones sit at 1,400–1,600 m — modest by Andean standards but, at Vietnam's latitude, cool enough for slow ripening and clean acidity.
Volcana Coffee grows and exports specialty Arabica and Fine Robusta from our own region — the Bolaven Plateau in Laos — with SGS-inspected quality and full export documentation. Taste how our volcanic terroir compares.
