Volcán & Tierras Altas Coffee
West of Volcán Barú, the highland district around Volcán, Bambito, and Cerro Punta farms some of Panama's highest coffee on deep, fertile volcanic soils in the country's coolest microclimates. Estates here regularly place alongside Boquete's at the Best of Panama auction.
The zone's slightly drier climate and bigger diurnal swings produce Geishas of intense structure, and its vegetable-basket agricultural infrastructure supports sophisticated processing. For buyers, Tierras Altas often offers Boquete-level quality with less name premium.
